This website was compiled to mainly pull together all information on the Stanyer family as I have so far discovered over nearly twenty years!

I welcome correspondence on the family and hope to add information to the tree as it becomes increasingly available through family members and computer-aided research. I have corresponded with family members in the UK, and Australia. I also have evidence for their presence in Canada. At a later point I hope to expand the tree to reflect this diversity.

Why I did the research: Prompted by a great-aunt and my grandmother, I became interested in finding out where my family had come from in England! I have researched on and (mostly) off for nearly twenty years and the results are what you see. I have corresponded with a lot of family members and am grateful to all of them for providing information. I hope also to provide a bank of photographs/pictures and other information ("overseas Stanyer branches") as time goes on. Meanwhile, enjoy!
